The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released a summary of the number of polling unit and collation center agents submitted by various political parties for the 2023 general elections. House of Representatives Majority Leader Ado Doguwa said in Abuja on Thursday that the new naira policy puts the ruling All Progressive Congress party at a disadvantage in the upcoming elections.


Doguwa, chairman of the special committee on naira overhaul, cashless policy and denomination exchange in the lower House of Assembly, revealed this after leading committee members to meet the president, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (Retired), at Aso Rock Villa, Abuja.



The meeting came hours after the president, in a televised announcement on Thursday morning, announced that only old N200 note would be legally in circulation until April 10, 2023.

However, the special committee expressed displeasure saying, "It's not Uhuru yet."

The spokesperson for the Bola Tinubu presidential campaign, Bayo Onanuga, has declared that the Attorney General of Nigeria, Abubakar Malami, is a “public enemy” in the same vein as the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele.
