Do senators work more than teachers, doctors & lecturers?? Forgetting the bogus pay they are earning don't even correlate with their work? Imagine sitting few times a year to discuss, is that what u call work? What will u now say about the daily labourer that earn peanuts??

Politics / Banks Increase Loan Rates After Cbn’s Fourth Straight Hike by onatisi(m): 5:35pm On Jul 26
Deposit Money Banks (DMBs) have started reviewing upwards the interest rates on loans given to customers, in response to the fourth straight hike in the benchmark interest rate by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN
The CBN on Tuesday after the two-day Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting in Abuja, raised Its monetary policy rate (MPR) by 50 basis points to 26.75 percent from 26.25 percent in May 2024
While other banks are expected to follow suit, Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) has announced an upward revision of interest rates on its MaxPlus loan facilities, effective August 6, 2024. The decision comes in response to prevailing conditions in the money market, which have seen a general rise in interest rates.

Or can we just do:
- return to regions

- referendum, whether we still want this contraption, or we go to our different countries of pre-berlin 1884 conference?
That is the best solution , Nigeria is a very very complicated country , when you are solving a problem in one region you are in directly creating another problem elsewhere and all these regions and tribes have very very powerful individuals and politicians .
Therefore for a single president to solve a particular problem nationally is difficult . The best thing is to break up. Let Yorubas solve their problems ,let Hausa do the same likewise the igbos

Only a mad mad crazy military leadership can stop fuel importation and subsidy payment in Nigeria . EVERY SINGLE NIGERIAN POLITICIANS HANDS ARE NOT CLEAN WHEN IT COMES TO THIS SCAM SUBSIDY PAYMENT .

after you voted against them willingly, they should stick their necks out for you, so that when they are arrested and sent to jail you will come back again and start making fun of them ? well done. MKO case is there as an example for anyone who has brains among these political leaders

doncartel:
Atiku, Obi and Kwankwaso should get ready to form the interim government because we are hoping that the protest will escalate into a nationwide revolution and flush Tinibu out of Aso rock.
Business / Re: My Friend Who Warned Against Investing In Nigeria Now Taunting Me – Dangote by onatisi(m): 4:36pm On Jul 22
he made a great mistake, someone told me this same thing 2 years ago that Dangote was making the most stupid mistake by investing in Nigeria and that he will regret it now he has been vindicated, this will have a severe impact on the political survival of tinubu.
maybe those against him will now soft pedal, we shall see but that is not likely, as long as Tiinubu continues paying almost 2 trillion naira as subsidy payments monthly, there is virtually no hope for any local refinery to survive or operate in Nigeria.

Dangote is a fool he should never have invested in Nigeria , now he has even dropped plans to invest in the steel industry. This statement alone will send a bad message to investors , many will stay back from doing business in Nigeria.
Politically it will have a serious setback on Tinubu second term bid ,except something is done quickly .

Kobojunkiee:
Let's stop all this nonsense. What stopped Dangote from drilling his own oil to supply his refinery project? He started with 2 oil blocks back in 2020. Why not continue with that? undecided

Dangote to commence 100,000 barrels of oil production
Dangote to be drilling his own oil and be supplying his own refinery!! . I no get strength to argue . But please ask people in the industry how it is done
Business / Re: Aliko Dangote Reportedly Offers To Sell His Refinery To NNPC. by onatisi(m): 1:25am On Jul 22
They will do everything to make sure Dangote is frustrated . Tinubu will ensure this for two reasons
Firstly is ,Dangote never supported Tinubu elections , he supported Atiku and PDP wholly, and he is still pro Atiku to the core so Tinubu will not want him to have any headway .
Secondly is that when Dangote refused to support Tinubu , Bua stepped him and supported Tinubu elections massively Witt everything, now Bua too about to complete his own refinery ,Bua and Dangote have been serious political and business enemies for years ,now that Tinubu is the president , we all know who he will support

We have said it many times ,those refineries will never work except maybe that if Dangote . When atiku said he will sell it and when obj wanted to sell it ,people didn't understand the reason . Those refineries are just an ATM machines for politicians .
How can we stop fuel importation when fuel subsidy payment has rise to almost 2 trillion naira monthly!
At this stage in Nigeria ,only a mad military government can save nigeria

Whatever decision they make ,trump will still win that election . If the dems change Biden , whaoo that will be so easy for Trump because it shows that they were never ready and if not for the debate they would have pushed an incapable man to the presidency .
And if they leave Biden , trump will still win but Biden can still push the sympathy card and some voters still like him . Bringing a new candidate now will be game over for the dems to win the presidency but they may do well in the senate and house elections

Business / Re: Dangote Refinery To Import Crude Oil From Brazil by onatisi(m): 8:58am On Jul 15
boss, it is not exciting.
Buhari has used Naija crude oil as upfront payment for loans he secured so we are paying back loans with crude, how long that will take is what they haven't told us , don't forget that Tinubu was going to do the same thing until Atiku and obi raised alarm about it, it is not certain if they eventually went ahead with the deal or not.
"In August 2023, NNPC announced that it had secured a $3.3bn emergency crude oil repayment loan from the African Export-Import Bank. When the $3.3bn loan is added to the newly proposed loan of $2bn, it means the national oil company is about raising its crude-backed loans to $5.3bn"

https://leadership.ng/nnpcl-deal-repaying-3-3bn-loan-with-12bn-crude-oil-by-tinubu-govt-puzzling-atiku/#google_vignette
so technically, we have no crude oil at the moment, all our crude oil belongs to our creditors, for how long, that is one thing they won't tell Nigerians, maybe for the next 20 years

, secondly, over 70 percent of our crude oil is been stolen and sold off, which is why we have so many emergency billionaires in Nigeria that just became billionaires overnight.
thirdly, it means that despite being one of the largest oil-producing nations in the world, our country can't supply her refineries with crude oil, which means NO CHEAP FUEL, Dangote has to source for FX and at the same time pay huge huge amount of cost to fuel that crude to Naija, it will all add to the cost

sIfioksq:
That's exciting, Dangote is expanding globally. Can't wait to see the results!

lolz, just like I said, i never believed we could have any president dumber than Buhari until Tinubu came and broke that record . so they have caged him, he doesn't read papers or watch the news or is he is blind, even if he is blind is he deaf too? all these excuses they give to make Tinubu look like an innocent person who doesn't know what is happening won't work. tinubu is only concerned about his second term bid and reelection therefore he will satisfy all his political friends at the expense of Nigerians to achieve this

With this ministry ,there will be a budget for them , offices, cars, contracts , I won't be surprised if a Yoruba man is appointed as the minister and an allocation of 300nillin set aside for them
