The yorubas are gr8 people, I thank my Creator. Just watch in few years as this will soon turned to Southwestern Nigerians yearly events with internal representation leading to massive investment in the region. The 6 states might later adjust their calendars to celebrate same day all the isese in each states simultaneously like osun osogbo, ojude oba, OYO masquerades festival, and all others.

Politics / Re: NNPC: We Are Selling Petrol At Half The Landing Cost — But It Is Not Subsidy by phemray(m): 1:29pm On Aug 20
integrity16:
But in his “clarification” to NAN, Ajiya said subsidy has not been paid to any marketer in the last nine years — understandably because NNPC is the sole importer of petrol via contracts with suppliers.

From excerpts above, it is safe to say that you pay the landing cast to contractors and suppliers, then sell to depots at below half price of landing cost, then they add their margin to arrive at exactly half the price at filling stations.

My question now is, since you are running at a loss importing PMS, how are you able to declare profit instead of losses?

You people just like to confuse yourselves.

Reason I don't like weaker presidents like yaradua and Jonathan. NNPC is scan and we all know, OBJ sold them to foreigners and yaradua reverted it knowing fully well that they are not productive and profitable. Same as Jonathan keep borrowing and using forex reserves to defend the fuel subsidy and naira. People protested and he reverted. These are not true leaders.

Lol 😂😂😂😂 APC sha

Watch come paid idiots come here and defend this rubbish

I shouted it since last year we have been playing subsidies without Budgeting for such but they all attacked me

Now the truth is Out

It seems you don't really understand what is the subsidy that was gone. B4 now, presidency and national assembly provided huge amounts of money, even taken loans to pay for fuel subsidy while NNPC declared no profit. But now, NNPC remains unprofitable as its ever being but the presidency no longer budget and pay for additional overhead called subsidy. So, NNPC takes responsibility for the, Crude and the PMS. Meaning, NNPC have been cheating FG and nigerians since. Before now, No profit made, non refineries working and you still collected subsidy from government. No no no.
I will be so surprised if PH refinery come back to life after dangote, meaning it's dangote production that exposed thier deals.

Shebi dem say dem don discover oil in the North? Why e no dey for the list?

2.
Delta and Akwa Ibom produce oil pass Bayelsa but na Bayelsa get Militants pass?

3.
Also, much of the revenue goes to the North that doesn't have oil, just as the oil is managed by Northerners.

Talking about militants, I think we need to critically analyzed why insecurity in Nigeria will remain forever no matter what is done by any government.
The main point is that, any activity that involves money exchanges from one to another has come to stay in Nigeria. Every zone has its peculiar insecurities investment as people has come to see it as business.
1. Solid minerals - Bandits
2. Rich Business men and business women flamboyant lifestyles - kidnapping

3. Crude oil- militants
4. NURTW- Agbero/ area boys
5. Politics of do or die - Massive corruption.

As, the saying goes, solution to every problems is located in the problems itself. But in nigeria as long as Money is involved, no solution.

Why is Lagos on the list if they are producing 0.

Bullfallo:

Lol. How many meetings do they need to do before they start completing critical things not to even talk of results

When tinubu told the cbn to close the exchange rate gap to stop round tripping many of us surported the policy. But the more they close the gap the more the exchange rate keeps going higher, And the cbn continue to close the gaps. Which further mess up the economy and pushed the petrol price higher even after subsidy removal and with government paying more subsidy then they met and Nigerians paying 4 to 5 times the price for PMS and diesel.

Goods and agricultural produce became costly especially imported items.

In conclusion the Naira was devalued due to wrong and uncalculated policies.

You can't close a currency gap without releasing enough to go round. Nigerians depends on black markets for their exchange and CBN id closing gaps of currency they didn't release. The effect is black market will continue to distance itself from the official rate

Nigerians are always impatient and reasons a tougher president like Tinubu is required. Same way they asked how many meetings and approvals will be conducted before student loan is given? Students are sending texts now but its no longer propaganda.
You guys just voted the best president ever that is focused with a stone heart. whether October or next year, I don't care, what I know is that PMS will hit the market from our local refineries and other countries will exchange Thier dollars to naira before buying. PMS prices will crash as production progresses with time. So what exactly is the complaints here and there.

Unfortunately it's too late. 2027, Nigerians are waiting

Let's be happy with the success and how things are so far. Did you know what would have been the status of Nigeria if an election was cancelled for the first time in a democratic setting and for the second time in Nigeria?
We can only appreciate the past because the present can be used to compare the past but not what is yet to be known. I remembered when Buhari cried after loosing the 3rd time like we missed a magician that would have turned things around like they did 1983. But thank God he did his best which was completely different from the expectation of 1983 quality. Obi's best was seen at Anambra for 8years same as Tinubu best was seen in Lagos for 8 years and beyond and Nigerians decided. so what magic is someone expecting overnight if anyone wins presidential elections.

Even seeing the close results, you will know it's error in thumb printing for labour logo thinking it's PDP. Check other results of the wards and the whole state. It's PDP they know top to bottom. Na accidental discharge.
These people are not like the Southern Nigerians in elections. Labour can only be known in the south and middle belts except PDP name is changed to Labour. Even if changed overnight, there will be a lot of wasted votes to old PDP.

Check government poverty alleviation programs since inception, so long it's government policies. Nothing to worry, SureP, NPower and school feeding programs benefits a lot of people even though curruption was much. But this one seems the best as they pay directly to the school. its well controlled. Payment is when you are working and not when you graduated. So, anytime u have job or else they have to provide job or even if you do business, NIN is one and account will be arranged for small small pay back.

Are u saying, in future when they want to recruit into army, police, customs,FIRS, NNPC, etc they will consider people outside without any % consideration for graduated students that is owing government and have the required qualifications? Just watch. This first batch will soon graduate.for me its a simple Logic.

Exactly, that is the problem with policy cancellation. I said, a strong government check the future advantage of policy than immediate pains. How can you be paying salaries for doing nothing. Check any candidates of PDP that win APC in any of former ACN strong hold, it's always narrow escape or sympathy for the candidates. obaseki was from APC, he decamped to PDP at last minutes when APC showed him sege, PDP collected him immediately as opportunity to devide APC votes. You think this obviously confused regime is going to come to any meaningful end. Well contrary to your opinion the government had exposed their incompetence from day one when declaration of subsidy removal was made and naira float was introduced without weighing the immense consequences of such measure.

Hardship is not soup!

Yes, but You are actually looking at solving that problems from a particular angle but you have not checked other angle since there are many angles to resolve a problem.

I have been forecasting Tinubu for long and I mostly predict him correct. He is a blunt person and very stubborn in achieving anything that has good ending.
He knew he will remove it at day one. He was prepared for the worst consequences. Did u know why he stated at the town hall meeting that ' no matter how long you people protested, subsidy will go' see, for me, I have been praying since, that subsidy must go cos I saw what happens in all the borders I hve worked. Tinubu didn't like wasting time in taking decisions because he do consult wide. NLC and other groups were informed during campaign and all of them signed to the removal, the reason they can't mobilized for protest. As for him, it's only impeachment or death or another government that will restore subsidy. He knows the oil cabals and they fear him.
