u know what, the fact that it didnt go beyond 5.55, (the close of yesterday as well,) it might be that the bottom don form in a pattern called "matching low pattern" where both bodies of the candles are red after a long downturn and the closing prices are the same, meaning people arent willing to sell below N5.55.

heads up for monday. if it closes higher chikena.

Can't agree more with guru AKT. I percieve, in addition, that if it closes higher on Monday it would head to take off its year high of 7.00. In my opinion this retracement is strong enough to take of that high, if it begins on Monday. CAVEATS Plenty!!

Ikeja Hotel seems to sustain the resistance breakout!!!!, a full 5% added today!!!
Investment / Re: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by TeeHay(m): 8:22am On Mar 14, 2008
as we start the last trading day of this week: let's look out for Dunlop (bear reversal??) & Ikeja Hotels (sustained resistance breakout??)!!

Guys, anyone got news on Ikeja Hotel??, 3rd highest in volume traded so far (over 93M units so far) and after taking off it's year high yday, doesn't seem like stopping or retracing!!, technically this is a bulish sign, ain't it AKT??

My People with DUNLOP, this is possibly the last B/Stop before the jet takes off. The small retracement we are witnessing (or witnessed based on close today) is expected when a stock is ready to take off it's 1-YEAR HIGH!!!!

Caveats plenty!!!!!!

Ppl,
GT bank closed @ 38.83 today to take off its 1-year resistance level of ~37.96. If it was forex trading, this most likely signifies the start of a bulish run!!!, but this is Stocks trading on NSE and so guys, both Fundamental & Technical (AKT, Pumping, Wanaj0, FO2, WW et all) what does this portend??

Frankly speaking, who can righfully boast that he/she could forward predict a stock movement (price target & time frame) 100% all the time and stick out his neck. My ppl, I don't think Warren Buffet go fit even try, not even for our own kind NSE!!!

@ All who bought Longman,

Hope you watched it hit a brick wall at N30.00 today (gravestone Doji a la AKTopcandle). May be worth divesting if this was a CICO for you - the next direction is likely to be some blood-letting. I'm not divesting because the FY 07 PE is ~ 18, one of the better stocks in my 'folio.
Easimoni, I cant agree more with you, yesterday's high of around 30.00 and unable to take it out was for me a signal to bow out. I took out my intial principal amount today @ 29.99 but left my profits in it to run through. It's a fundamentally strong stock and won't be suprised getting its to 38 (conservative) before/on FY declaration.
For me it was a good run, 40% (after commission) in 2weeks. I still see a possibility of additional 25% after it gathers strength to take out the N30 resistance.

@ All,
UNTL: Please don't have the impression that UNTL is no longer producing/or in businesss. They only CLOSED the northern factory since cost of production was escalating. They have factories (one in partnership) in 2 towns in W. Africa. My friend is a top management staff in lagos and they are fully operational. They feed the Nigerian market from their other factories in W.Africa.
For me I see closing kaduna factory as reducing overheads, to ensure they concentrate on areas with beta margins, for some that translates to beta cost management and hence maybe better returns, anyway time would tell. Afterall, Michelin did the same and some her directors greatly applauded the bold step!!

TRANSCORPSE: My ppl, every action on this stock shows it's highly manipulated. Imagime, purchase revocation announcement on Saturday and suspension of trade on stock the next working hour!!, Monday. All I can say is Madam NSE and cohorts can do all she wants but recall what happened after the wayo suspension, @ 9.71, when they go tired it didn't stop a freefall to 3.17 (Dec 3rd 07). I still wish my dear friends with kgs of transitional-corpse the hopeful best!

My ppl even for a CICO, ensure the coy has some fundamentals such that even in the case of bad news (over the weekend!!!) u can still sleep till Monday Morning and wait for the next result cycle!!!, do u notice that coy on FO2 list for CICO still has some fundamental backing

Sincerely wish u guys the best presently on Transcorp CICO reverse jet!!!

For a big guy like that to like what I bought shows me that I am growing in this business.

I thank all the gurus for the lessons and recommendations.

I had screamed about Longman about 1 week ago, with all the silence since, shows guys have been stocking it silently. Now wey one of the gurus (easi$) don talk, I don't want to imagine what would happen to the stock!!! I concur with @ Mr. Risky that one sees Beta Glass and Air Lafarge (started it's take off??) doing a BONUS before H1 '08. Well can't stick out for AG Lenevtis.

However, another I see clearly would be LONGMAN for BONUS declaration, very quiet stock with very good fundamentals.

I want to believe this hacking stuff is just a lesson for CSCS, now with over 60K NSE Index, we need to get it right IT wise before we do btw 80K-100k NSE Index before end of 2008!! Guys no panic, it just a lesson for CSCS down the road of Vision 2020!! grin grin grin

Back to making money on NSE, anyone noticed the solid fundamentals behind Longman With an EPS of 1.36 and PE of ~15, me think this is hot cake for value hunters, abi wetin gurus think?? Recall their Year End is December, with no bonus given last year (only 40k dividend), I wouldn't be suprised if an intresting one comes around this year.

Queen WW, an inside info on this firm??, other gurus weting una think??

@All,
Are you watching PZ?? good move upwards, looks like it didn't take much time refueling.

FO2 hope your twin brotehr is still on board that flight, remember you said he was the one there?

WAPCO
Despite the news of theban on cement importation and all around it, WAPCO definitely is the best in that sector. I picked up some chunk 2 days ago, and it doesn't seem to be a bad decision. I never wanted to mention it here for the obvious reasons of the "importation saga", however I was thrilled FO2 spotted it out in his post earlier today(abi na yesterday). It has the lowest PE ratio in the sector of 20.94, has the heighest EPS in the sector of 3.25, having dropped more than 14% of it's year high of #85.46, I think this stock is set for an UPWARD move. Caveat emptor; the investment decision to buy, hold or sell, should totally be your anyway.

WAPCO should also be a sure bet for bonus this year, make nobody con cry later say hin miss WAPCO bullet jet when e take off o!!!, the thing don dey warm engine now for over 1year!!!!!!!

aplying my forex trading experience, I would want to say a Fibbonacci retracement is prsently occuring with the WAPCO stock. Fundamentally with EPS of 3.25 (highest in the sector), I want to believe the WAPCO train just dey reverse for a few wey hin no pick up before. The expectation of bonus should fire the stock soon!

People,
This year is already looking very intretsing!!!!, Check out Oceanic's 1st Quarter:

2007 2006 Change
Gross Income 31.114 12.943 +140.39%
PBT (=N=Bill) 10.922 4.200 +160.05%
PAT (NB) 8.847 3.499 +152.84%

Those with Oceanic PO Certificates, this looks interesting, can this earnings absolve all the prsent shares + PO Shares and remain with projected EPS above 2??

By the way what is happening to WAPCO anyone got some gist??, lost N4.12 today,

Annualised earnings will be around N1.60

@ afamako,
Thanks.
With Average Banking PE of 25-30, fundamentally Oceanic should be doing =N=40-48 based on this result. But I dont think this result would prevent guys from exchanging Certifcates for Cash. Maybe wise to just wait for the next 3-4months and let Oceanic lull a little bit before jumping in.

Looks like we have lost/losing interest in the Insurance Sector!! I personally think that the likes of UNIC may spring suprises post consolidation. A conservative price of 250k/300k may not be out of place by Q3 2007.

However for 07 Q1 Outlook: I expect that Diamond & GTB would still be the toast of investors!!

For 07 Q2 Outlook: I expect Zenith to pull suprises by then. I believe the market has not fully responded to ZBL fantastic Q1 result. Maybe waiting for the result consolidation when the expected Q2 results is released.

For dare devil investors, Fidelity Bank with good growth in EPS for last 2 FY and lowest PE in the sector stands a booty potential for investors. Maybe with her expected Q2 results, this may further be proved!!
Religion / Re: Is Jesus God? by TeeHay(m): 9:06pm On Dec 16, 2006
Peolpe, below provides clear explanation on Jesus' position relative to God.

** For more info: http://www.watchtower.org/e/20050422/article_02.htm
However,below is an excerpt,

The Father—Superior to the Son
Jesus taught his disciples to pray: “Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.” Our heavenly Father, whose name is Jehovah, is described in the Bible as being superior to his Son. For example, Jehovah is “from everlasting to everlasting.” But the Bible says that Jesus is “the firstborn of every creature.” That Jehovah is greater than Jesus, Jesus himself taught when he said: “My Father is greater than I.” (Matthew 6:9; Psalm 90:1, 2; Colossians 1:15; John 14:28, King James Version) Yet, the Trinity doctrine holds that the Father and the Son are “equally God.”

The Father’s superiority over the Son, as well as the fact that the Father is a separate person, is highlighted also in the prayers of Jesus, such as the one before his execution: “Father, if you wish, remove this cup [that is, an ignominious death] from me. Nevertheless, let, not my will, but yours take place.” (Luke 22:42) If God and Jesus are “one in essence,” as the Trinity doctrine says, how could Jesus’ will, or wish, seem different from that of his Father?—Hebrews 5:7, 8; 9:24.

Furthermore, if Jehovah and Jesus were the same, how could one of them be aware of things of which the other was not? Jesus, for instance, said regarding the time of the world’s judgment: “Concerning that day or the hour nobody knows, neither the angels in heaven nor the Son, but the Father.”—Mark 13:32.

Please do spend 5mins of your time gaining knowlegde that can impact our lives!!!

Thanks
