Business / Re: Africa’s Richest Man Versus Nigerian Government Is Uncharted Territory by higgs: 8:49pm On Jul 26
Start your own refinery and cement factories and ask for waivers. Many of You are just full of envy and jealousy. Your jealousy should not blind You to the economic benefits of Dangote's businesses:employment for many Nigerians, taxes to federal and state governments, strenghtening the naira through his import substitution efforts etc Meanwhile the NNPC people attacking Dangote should tell us why all the government owned refineries are not working after billions of dollars have been spent on them.
helinues:
It be like we don get emergency lovers of everything for Nigeria oo

Between Dangote and FG, who should Nigerians be supporting? Dangote is not the only business man in Nigeria to have been granted some unnecessary waivers. Those must be rectified.

Since those policies have been favouring him, we didn't hear peem

The man us obviously an economic saboteur trying to protect vested interests. Business / Re: Akinwumi Adesina Says This Dangote Issue Is Shocking - Otedola by higgs: 3:40pm On Jul 23
Africans don't like producing anything, we prefer to import from other countries. Part of the problem is that we have some of the most corrupt and decadent human beings on earth at the top echelons of our public service.Devil will surely reserve the hottest place in hell for Nigerian leaders.
Politics / Re: Nigeria’s House Of Reps Orders Dangote, NMDPRA, Others To Stop Media Attacks by higgs: 5:21pm On Jul 22
It is now clear that Nigeria's corrupt leaders don't want the country to industrialize and develop. They want us to remain a dumping ground for imported foreign products.Dangote is not a saint, but he has done more for Nigeria's economy than any president, governor or minister.

It will probably be a better strategy for the Democrats to throw their primaries open, let the best candidate win.Anyone who wins a competitive democratic primaries stands a better chance of defeating Trump in the general elections.

Culture / Re: How Ooni Companies Executed Biggest Fraud In Nigeria’s Real Estate History - FIJ by higgs: 10:56pm On Jul 18
Why are all the victims hiding their names? One of the reasons why injustice thrives in this country is the excessive timidity of citizens. One man, however powerful he may be,cannot defeat all the victims if they unite and fight for their rights. The moment he realizes that they are united and organised in seeking justice, he will be serious about making restitution.

Politics / Re: EEDC To Refund ₦11.8bn To South-East Customers Over Crazy Bills by higgs: 9:51am On Jul 09
The simple solution to all these issues is for the DISCOS to give every consumer a prepaid meter and gradually deduct the cost of the meter from bill payments. CBN can finance the scheme if necessary. If all the meters are supplied by local manufacturers, there will be a lot of trickle down economic benefits:increased employment, more tax revenue etc
The DISCOS don't want this because prepaid meters mean zero revenue during blackouts.

Business / Re: Interest Rate At 30% Will Stifle Growth, Hinder Job Creation - Dangote Warns CBN by higgs: 10:14pm On Jul 02
This man Dangote is not just rich,he is also very intelligent. The CBN should reduce interest rates to stimulate economic growth and increase employment. I actually believe that inflation in Nigeria today is not caused by excess money supply but by fiscal problems like insecurity etc.Another major cause is the fast depreciating local currency. So raising interest rates so high creates more economic problems without solving the inflation problem.

Politics / Re: Warri, Port Harcourt, Kaduna Refineries To Begin Operations By December by higgs: 12:21pm On Jul 01
Nigerians should unite and force the FG to sell these refineries, if not ,civil servants and politicians will continue to use them to steal millions of dollars and the refineries will still never work.Petroleum refining should be left to the private sector.Instead of wasting money on these refineries, the money should be used to give low interest loans to private companies who are serious about establishing refineries.

Well said. The op has a low opinion of Nigerian graduates for reasons best known to him.Using "absolved" instead of "absorbed" shows he is a prime example of what he is talking about
ChybuzzDD:

See a guy who doesn't know the actual meaning of "timid" and the difference between "absolved" and "absorbed" casting aspirations on Nigerian graduates and universities.
It seems you're one of those who managed to pass their exams without being intelligent.

African leaders are all the same.First they steal the country blind. They even collect loans and steal the borrowed funds. Then they start telling common people to make sacrifices for the country and begin to place an unbearable burden on ordinary citizens in the form of different forms of direct and indirect taxes.
