MY INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE

Had an interview appointment at 1pm. reached the embassy at around 11:30. Waited for 1hrs and 15minutes. Then when inside the embassy had the security checked and then went inside. Took the token paid my$330 and then had my finger print taken, submitted my document. Then waited for the call of the interview. Was called half hour after the submission of document for the interview. The interview was at not at the window where other had the interview but at a special window inside a room. Got scared why this. The CO was a white lady. Went in then the interview began.

I have completed my bachelors degree and have worked for past 2and a half year. So I would like to know if I get a new job and start working in that job will I be denied a visa.
okeymen:

In a nut shell, the answer is No, it does not matter whether or not you leave your current job.

There are 2 ways to qualify for the Visa. 1 is to have the minimum 5 credits in SSCE (or any of those exams) and the other is by work experience. for work experience, you would have had to have worked in a qualifying profession for at least 2 years in the past 5 years. while it is really very difficult to qualify by work experience, it does not matter if you have not even worked at all in the past 2 years. all that matters is that sometime between say 2009 and now, you were employed in that capacity for a period of 2 years. meanwhile the reason it is difficult to qualify by work experience is because the qualifying jobs usually require a whole lot of education and most people that don't have those 5 credits will most likely be unable to cope with the qualifying jobs because the standard is generally much higher. however, there are few exceptions to the rule like any other rule.

Have won the lottery and my case number is 35*** and waiting for my 2NL letter. Now the problem is I want to leave my current job and I have sent my KCC forms stating my job at this company. Does it make any difference if I leave my current job before I receive my 2NL and be a freelancer.

Could You tell me what are the requirements for South Asia?
kevwe_flex: This is from VisaOfficer. Just felt we should know this prior to interviews, and I quote:

Good morning! We do recognize NECO results. Applicants must have 5 scores of 5 or better in 5 different subjects on the WAEC, SSCE, NECO, or NABTEB certified exams; or they can qualify with a BSC degree, HND, or OND from an accredited university or polytechnic institution.

The WAEC or NECO subjects must be academic subjects (for instance, English, biology, math, etc.). Trade subjects, such as plumbing or garment making, do not count for the DV program.

We really, really like it when applicants bring scratch cards so we can verify their results. smiley

Good luck!
