so what you are saying is that one affividavit should cover the whole family tree relationship and does dat also imply that i will have to include my father and brothers in my visa application??

page 24 of the visa application said somefin like members of your family unit are your partner and any dependent children of you or your partner who are unmarried, not in defacto relationship and who have not turned 18 years of age. what does this mean??

As for ur 2nd question abt ties 2 ur home country, I can only give u a clue using family tie. If for example u come from a royal family, u can state clearly that you are an heir or a sucessor to the throne (backing up ur claim wit evidence) as such u wil return after ur program 2 lead ur people according 2 ur custom and tradition... Do u get d picture now?

Lawland, i graduated in 2010, served between july 2011 and june 2012 and after dat, i'v not been working till date as i was job hunting before d aussie plan. the thing is, should i include my nysc discharge certificate as part of my visa documents to show wat i was doing between dat time and if i should include it, do u tink it is safe not to use an employment document between dat june last year and now. Secondly, what should i use as ties to return home after studies?

Why worry abt dat? With affidevit sworn in high court, u are covered. There is an error in my dob in waec cert, I attach my affidevit to it whenever I wnt 2 use it and I v nt had any problems wit dt.

The problem is, i read on the checklist that im supposed to use the original of the affividavit rather than certified copy. Any info about this or further explanation. Have u applied for Hap id? did u later conclude to do d medicals before lodgement??

Can i use my waec statement of result instead of waec certificate to avoid the issue of adding an affividavit of error on my Date of Birth of my waec certificate? There is no date of birth on waec statement of result. This is to avoid complications on my visa application. Im just worried

Plshavmercyamen: @all. Please, i applied for a TAFE programme and have already gotten my LETTER OF OFFER from ETI with Feb. being the commencement date. But, the Feb. date is no longer feasible for me owing to finance and other logistics ish. My questions now are, should i write to ETI via email to ask for deferral to July or should i just ignore the letter of offer and re-apply for july intake? lawland: I believe it means your passport will not expire in less 6 months time before you lodge your application and not the other way round.. E.g you can't apply for a visa with a passport that will expire in Feb now because it will expire in less than 6 months time..

have two sponsors, one is a businessman and the other a civil servant. so you mean you submitted your medicals together with your application, wow!! also regarding showing an evidence that will you will return back to Nigeria after studies, how did you deal with that one. the visa fee you are talking about, is d 585$ in australian dollars or american dollars? so we have have to pay the fee at VFS together with their courier fee which is around 38,800. Secondly, how is the hap id for medicals gotten?

lawland: Which school is that? Does it mean they won't accept scanned originals? My guy has scanned originals in his system, he wants to know if he is to upload that or certify the copies, scan and upload them... I am just in dilemma since I applied for my Ad. Dip and PGD with scanned originals and got offers...

schools hav different rules shaa but some insist on certifed copies while others can give u conditional offer pending receiving certified copies either by post or scanned.

lawland: People that applied for masters, did you scan original documents including transcript and upload them or did you scan the certified copies? Curtains accepted my scanned original copies, I want to know about other schools...

Scanned certified copies of original docs to schools and they accepted it.

lawland: I think you have a good plan so far... Why Computer science? Did you check the SOL to see if the skill is needed? As for the sponsors issue, I think you are in a very tight corner, nevertheless, you can still tell your sponsor about your plan for PR hopefully he will understand.

Just got an offer from Curtin University to study Msc Computer Science. Now I have two offers, one in Melbourne and the other in Perth(which 6000 higher in fees). Still awaiting other offers to make my choice and also planning to apply for visa before the end of October cos I want to pay for COE first week of October. I pray all these plans work. A little bit confused at the moment cos my sponsor wants to settle for the cheapest not understanding my future plans which studying at Curtin will help in terms of PR.

What is up with your latest admission processing with ECU?

ECU rejected me oo saying d same tin that my Bsc in Computer Science is equivalent to an aussie associate degree, i wonder y my own is different from odas!! didnt want to go for tafe cos of wat u said earlier on about going up n not coming down incase one decides to come bak to naija. So Im left with dis packaged offer of Graduate Diploma + Masters in Information Technology, which is 2 years with Charles Sturt Melbourne campus. Just dat i wanted a regional area based on what i read here and also to help my PR after study. Goodluck to you for 21st Sept IELTS GT, go with God and just relax, cos its just like every exam . Dont worry, u will hit above 7.0!!!!

lawland: Ordinarily, if you have a degree and work experience in any of the jobs in the SOL and you are also have a good Ielts result and below 35yrs, you are eligible for PR. I wonder why universities don't want to give you straight admission to masters. I want you to explain why.

some said my undergraduate course components isnt equivalent to their bachelor degree and so Im not eligible for a direct masters. Eg ECU, Ballarat etc. dis one u de tuk about job experience, after my masters programme, im just like a fresher gradutae cos I dont even have job experience here in Nigeria, unless they want me to forge, which I dont want.

@jenny and odas: When someone is Melbourne bound and he still has PR plans after two years of study, what is your advice on this. I applied to many universities but they refused to admit me. Only one university gave me a packaged offer for Graduate Diploma + Masters. PR is the main thing on my mind after study cos I dont intend coming back to Nigeria. I also heard that such packaged offer is eligible for SVP because some other uni gave me just Postgrad Diploma course, which I heard is ineligible for SVP. Kindly advise on raised points please!!!
