Wapco lost. If you compare with the NSE results, nigeriansecurities is correct as far as I can see.

Most of the numbers reported by Cashcraft are unfortunately not correct.

Thanks Oga pumping, makes more sense anyway. I've been relying on nigeriansecurities these days, at least for their TA tools. How is teh project going?? Hope fine, and hope you achieve all your goals with that one so at least you'll have more time.
Investment / Re: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by upward(m): 10:40pm On Feb 28, 2008
Lots of differences in the pricelist today as noted by many already. Nigeriansecurities says WAPCO lost, while cashcraft, cscs and some others say it gained

@upward.

Abeg put candle for Afribank, I just want to be sure if my thinking is right about them. Thanks

According to the candles, I can see a green hanging man, which is a good sign, shows that sellers tried to pull the price down (to 26.02-day's low), but the buyers overpowered them and pushed the priced up to close at the day's high-27.49. Also the MACD is well above it's trigger line-Exp (9), and in the positive region. the MACD histogram is in the positive axis and increased further today, showing a strengthening of the bullish momentum. Both the stochastics and Aroon up and down are also very bullish at the moment. How long this will last is what no one can say, because the RSI is almost at the 70 mark (though we have seen stocks trade at RSI of 100 for several days). Let's see what happens tomorrow, but if this chart is anything to go by, we'll see AFRIBANK gain some more tomorrow.

We talked about Dangote Sugar here 2 days ago, and it's been showing some good signs of upward movement. Quite a good one there at a good price, i think. Caveat Emptorrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

@upward

yes dsr is looking attractive but i think it will get even more so. the rsi may remain less than 30 for who knows how long. i would get in when i see signs of it bottoming out but maybe its all wishful thinking to think it still has more falling to do.

Hahahahahaa grin, wishful thinking indeed. Well, it is likely to get to 40 naira (wanajo's target price) because looking at the chart, like we've said, it may likely some haemorrhage, even if occult or passive. But you know the way some guys rush, and not allow the thing to buttom out, but no fears, it seems to be strongly responding to gravity, just for this week-o, if it will continue
Investment / Re: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by upward(m): 4:24pm On Feb 26, 2008
@aktopgun and all,

This seems to be the best opportunity to enter Dangote sugar. Although from the stochastics looks like it may still drop further, sellers totally dorminated teh market today from start to finish. However looking at the RSI (26.98) it is massively oversold and hence one of the best buy signals. Please, inputs and anybody can analyse and make your decision. CAVEAT EMPTOR

wapco still hemorrhaging. lost full 5% today. wonder what the candlestick for today will look like. na wa o. its looking attractive at these prices ke. the company isnt that bad ke.

that is active haemorrhage-o, you see what I mean? It's going to get even more attractive and guys will pounce on it, driving the price to the reasonable level. I may be tempted to get me some more, for the reason boldened above. But it's just my thought, no recommendation. Will see what the candles say after today's market close.

Upward - I prayed for you too now on air larfarge,  i got mine at 65, sometime in June/July07 - my exact expectation were for N90-95 as well by Feb08(even when it took a dip to N60). But, na that stupid news kill am for me, and had to bail out as that news no gree with my analysis. Since, it still fits into your portfolio - then my prayer was still answered :-)

I can see, you got yours in June/July 2007, so after such a length of time coupled with the news you had to bail, I got mine sometime towards ending January 2008 at 67.point something, so I'm still very cool on that one. Thanks anyway for your "prayers", will let you know what happens with it.

@wapco investors, things arent looking good but lets wait till tomorrow and see.

today the maket was undecided about it and it gapped lower & formed a doji as well(ie indecision). tomorrow may help determinne if this is a reversal pattern happening called the abandoned baby bottom (funny name isnt it  cheesy)

lets see what tomorrow brings.

yeah, having looked at the chart (after my last post) I see what you mean, not very strong momentum in the "sell rush" however it still closed at the day's low. Going by this it's bottom-out price may not get as low as I was prediciting in my previous post (the better) but I see that as a possibility. Howbeit, we need one or two day's trading to see how the trend goes. Aktopgun abi?

@ All,

It's not been easy trying to catch up with the number of pages I've missed.

ABOUT WAPCO (remember I'm in that JET, abi failed-jet?), I factored in the possibility of the "no-bonus" declaration before I even entered, so no big deal. I'm definitely not going to be part of any panic-selling. Any share one is willing to buy for CICO, must be waht you can have for a medium to longterm, just in case things don't work out as planned, then you can fall back on plan B.

Savvylare, I can see your prayers and fasting for FO2 and I didn't work, too little faith abi??  grin

Having said that, I expect the stock price to bottom out at about the 63-66 naira range, and then some other die-hard CICOers will sewep in to take possible short-term profit, and we can join the train on it's struggle up. Mind you I bought at 67.something, and for all I know, WAPCO is a 90-95 naira stock before year end (medium to longterm, plan-B).

Have been trying to post this, hope it doesn't come in multiples.

Like I said in my previous posts, Dangote sugar was headed for a drop today (from the candles) and it did drop. I have checked teh charts for today and it still looks like it may drop further.  The MACD still trends downwards and below it's trigger line; the histogram still going further down into the negative axis and the Fast stochastic is also trending downward below the %D the trigger line, although the angle of depression seems to be reducing/leveling.
Let's wait for teh guru AKTOPGUN to throw more light. I hope I got the attachment

Yeah, many gurus have recommended this stock severally on this thread, and I think one can still enter at current price; although the charts (candles) show there might be some more drop. The MACD histogram is just around the zero line, though looks like it's trending downwards, for the stochastic, %K is lower than the %D and still pointing downwards.

Fundamentally not bad to me, EPS of 2.16, and PE ratio of 19.62 (one of the lowest in it's sector). This is not an outright recommendation as I may not even be "guru enough" to do that, however I'm in on this one. Got me some chunk at 40.point something, and it's a medium-to-long term investment for me. That said, do your research and make the decision. CAVEAT EMPTOR. [quote]

It's been agued here that it may not be a likely thing to happen but the rumour gets stronger. Just for your perusal

@All,

Got this from ZSL. The fear of TS is the beginning of NSE wisdom; well that's not totally true, depends on your investment (or CICO) style.

the Nigerian Stock Exchange has today added 6.25 billion shares to the shares outstanding in favour of IBTC-Chartered Plc following their merger with Stanbic Bank Nigeria Plc.

The Nigerian Stock Exchange has today placed Crusader Insurance Plc. on technical suspension following the receipt of their application for Offer of Subcription, Rights Issue and Debenture Stock.

The share price of Vitafoam Nigeria Plc. has today been adjusted for a dividend payment of N0.25k per share. The ex-div price is N10.05.
