Holmes007:

Pls, can u elaborate, r u saying fixed deposit aint good enof? If yes is ur answer then u r very wrong. All his sponsor needs to do is to write a letter that states that the money in the fixed deposit is for the applicant. 'kapish...
I am a living testimony....

@homels007 Do u mean for instance, if the sponsor (parent) has let's say 50mil in his fixed deposit account, stating on his affidavit that the said amount (50mil) is set for the applicants education!? All of it? Or part of it? Elaborate bro

Good day house.

Pls educate me:
After completing my online application, I received a confirmation mail in my cic account that my application was successful and for me to come for biometrics, but! I didn't receive an alert via my personal yahoo email that I registered with my cic account. Is that how its meant to be? ? ? ?
I thought an applicant was to receive alerts via his personal mail whenever there is a correspondent from d embassy on his cic account. ? ?

opsynusy: He said the more the documents, the more they question my application,he said it's not by document that if they really need the documents, they will ask me to provide

1. Paper route/ online route have same processing time, it only varies based on wat needs to be verified
2. Using ur sister is no hustle
3. Not stating the relationship btwn u and ur sponsor(sister) is 50/50 bro...if u included her birth cert (d Visa Officer wud see that u share dsame parents)
**i read on this same thread an applicant who didnt state the relationship btwn him & his sponsor and d lucky chap still bagged his TRV

So my advice is Just call on ur God to make things happen in ur favour..sip juice and relax ur mind

The total (tuition fee + living expenses). I will even suggest you add little extra to it but do make sure the amount reflect in the SOA you are submitting.

But! I have already paid 80% of the total cost expected by the school.

My enquire might seem dumb but I'm just trying to be careful. I'm about filling my IMM1294E form, certain fields got me confused:

1. *My expenses in Canada will be paid by: it has 3 options
a. myself b. Parents c. other
I have both my Dad and aunty as sponsors, how should I go about this

[quote author=pchax]Hello, thanks for responding to my question on if fixed deposit accounts can be used. Just for clarification sake, I did not get the info that fixed deposit can't be used on NL. It was someone else that told me ("beer parlour" talk thingy).

Please permit me to verify another "myth" I heard "on the streets". Is it true that including landed property and land documents can delay your processing time because the embassy may need to verify each of those documents and the more documents they need to verify, the longer your process takes. This myth makes some sense but is it true?

Next time halla me whenever u dey go jolly jolly oooo.. You can include all the properties uv got in the world, that's the reason why Applicants are requested/advised to submit application months prior to your school's resumption date so as to give them enough room to verify all the documents one stated tru the application.

pchax:

Thanks for your response. My dad is the real sponsor but most of his cash is in fixed deposit. His major current account goes up and down since he doesn't buy into the idea of just stashing huge money in your account except it is in fixed deposit. He has paid tuition and accommodation. I used my bro in law cos his own is not in fixed deposit (I do not know where I got the idea that they don't accept money in fixed deposit). Also, someone also warned me against using landed property and share certificates because they would want to verify the authenticity thereby delaying the processing during verification.

I guess I would switch back to my dad as major sponsor and use his statement of account cos it is much more than my bro inlaw's own. Thanks for all your tips.

Dude use ur dad's statement of account, I'm in the same situation as u, I wonder why ppl here say such about fixed deposit, what if the amount in d fixed deposit is "HUGE" resulting to higher monthly dividends as compared to another applicant with a current/ savings account with just 5mil would d VO prefer option A or B, abeg fixed deposit, current or savings account all the same, what matters is that the account is capable of paying your bills. My own opinion.

All should total 4MB!? that's really small, cos I have about 20docs to upload, won't that reduce the clarity?

Thank you.
I read somewhere in this thread that paper route requires police report. Does it also applies to online route too?

Its only compulsory for paper route, but I'm still adding it to my online application.. There is still sense in it to add it because it simply let's the VO know that I'm free of crime.
