Thank God my visa has finally be granted |

My CO just asked me to provide signed letters from all directors of the company stating that funds will be available for my welfare in Australia. @ lawland how did you send your sponsors verification when you where requested to? |
![]() |
posdream: @Largo, how far any update?my CO said we would have to wait for 2 to 3 weeks for the medical assessment in Australia. So hopefully the second week of December there should be an update. |

lawland: I had a lot of problem trying to log onto this site for 2 days now.... @justwise, i hope you take care of it.. It feels good to know that you are settling well. You have always been thoughtful of others. I pray that the land yield its fruit for you. My CO said it normally takes 2 to 3 weeks before the panel doctors in Australia finish with their review, so I'm waiting for them. |

lawland: Its long overdue bro... Congrats in advancethanks bro |

I have been requested to go for medicals |

@ future applicants I suggest you go for your medicals before application, reason not only did complete application with medicals gets processed faster I suspect that they at the visa office assume that you are sure of your application and probably reduce the scrutiny on the application. I'm saying this from my personal observation of different applicants in other forums. For example lawland's visa was granted after 5 weeks and some days. I called my case officer after two weeks to see if I can proceed to medicals, she said they are still carrying out checks. All I'm saying is it buttress the integrity of your application if you go for it before submitting |

lawland: @ Largo was just thinking about you now and you appeared. How far? Any news? Has it not been up to 6 weeks?. Thanks that's thoughtful of you, nothing yet. I called my case officer on monday, she said they are still doing checks. I guess all I can do is wait for them. |

lawland: I have just noticed that high commission Pretoria have updated their website particularly their processing time, assessment level 3 is now 3 months instead of the 6 to 8 weeks in their formal page and they are now advising that medicals is part of complete application.. www.southafrica.embassy.gov.au/pret/immi_how_long_to_process.html.. Thanks for the insight. I. I guess I don't have much choice right now. |

lawland: @ Largothanks, I was contacted last week Tuesday, but I haven't heard anything from them since though it would be a month on the 30th that I submitted . They received my application on the 2nd. Do you think I should contact my CO or just wait to be contacted. Also note I haven't done my medicals, so maybe its also a reason why the process is slow |

@lawland I mailed the address you gave me on sunday, still I haven't been contacted, I don't know if I should be worried. How long did you wait before they replied you. |
You already lodged? And you didn't even indicate... Any way, your application must have gotten to them by 2nd. Email ASH@dfat.gov.au, they will ask for your passport number, when you send it, they will send your acknowledgment letter. Good luck. just out of curiosity did you mail them before they acknowledge yours or they mailed you. |

Sorry I thought I mentioned it here, probably the fears got the best of me. Thanks anyway |

@lawland Congrats. Please how long did you have to wait before you got the mail acknowledging your application. I lodged my application on the 30th of september and I haven't got any mail. |

@Jenny please what happens if one does not satisfy one of the GTE requirements, say immigration history,I.e was refused visa in another country about 5 years ago and barred based on fraudlent documents. What is the person's chance of being granted. |
![]() |
Thanks my guess too |
![]() |
@lawland please how much did you pay for the visa application. I need to be sure .thanks |

posdream:sorry for the delay. I got my COE 3 days after I made payment, I guess it was so because I sent my acceptance letter via courier so it was after they got it. All this happened June, I was meant to go July but plans changed. @ lawland thanks for your concern, I'm trying to tidy up. Planning to apply monday or Tuesday. |
. Be ready to show evidence for it, and pls don't forge or arrange any document for this because they will surely confirm.. Good luck.. When are you applying and what assessment level?[/quote yeah I know. Am planning against tomorrow, though we are hoping to get my sponsor's tax satement ready by tomorrow. |

lawland: @ Surveyor.. I very much know that, but all the successful applicants never mentioned if there and if you check Pretoria checklist, it is only required if have had criminal record or served in any arm forces.. It is mostly required from people going through PR and working visit..thanks needed to be sure, I have a job waiting for me so I'm going to just state that. |

lawland: I have been wanting to ask this to successful student visa applicants... Do high commission Pretoria demand for Police check from student applicants? Cos in the checklist, its only needed when you have a conviction...please what did you use as your evidence of ties with home country and incentive to return to home country |

lawland: Hmmmm... Just got into this site today.. Was really impressed.. Anyway, I was able to go through the hurdle without this forum but I want to use my expertise and my experience to help anyone that needs it.. I am currently waiting for my visa.. Applied 28th august through VFS and Pretoria got my application on 2nd sept.. I have done and submitted everything including medicals.. Is anyone on same boat?I intend to apply this week, my sponsor's account is a company account and I would like to know if it would be okay to use it ordinarily or let him sponsor me as a staff of his company. Or I should just get him sponsor me as his step that I am.he is willing to give me all the company documents to back my claim. I just want to be sure of the best option. |
